Autumn Term 2026 

Science Investigation 

This week in science we carried out our own investigation into which objects float and which will sink. We learnt about how density and shape affect buoyancy.

The Night Dragon 

In Guided Reading, we have been reading lots of books about dragons! This week, we read The Night Dragon by Naomi Howarth. We discussed how the main character might be feeling at key points, and we worked in groups to sequence the story.

 

History Bingo

In history, we have been learning about Stone Henge and the Great Pyramid of Giza.  After learning about what they were used for, we played bingo where we recalled what we had learnt and got a point every time we used the vocabulary on our mats! Some children then volunteered to present their learning to the class.
