Our last week before half term has been a fun one!
In our gymnastics lessons, we had lots of fun putting routines to music, playing games to music and generally have a good time! We've practiced setting 'Rock Slam Challenges' on TTRS ready for some half term times tables action, made jellyfish from recycled plastic materials and watched some Blue Planet as an end of topic treat - we thought we deserved lots of fun lessons to celebrate our first half term back!
Our topic after half term is WW2 - we will be focussing on the 'Home Front' during the the war; what life was like for evacuees, the Blitz and air raid shelters, rationing and also at how Remembrance Day in November fits into it all.
This will lead nicely into Christmas as we try some wartime recipes and think about what a wartime Christmas might have been like.
If you have any books, resources, experiences or information relating to this topic then please feel free to send it in or speak to Mrs. Logan; it's all very welcome!
We are hoping to give the children some exciting experiences during this topic in leiu of our normal trip to Coventry Cathedral's wartime museum; we will keep you posted!
