Another busy week in Class 2; we have been doing lots of grammar work in literacy this week! We have looked at past tense, first and third person AND started looking at speech punctuation; wow!
We will carry on our work on speech punctuation next week, working on any misconceptions we have uncovered and using it in some extended writing.
In maths, we have been working on column subtraction, addition and using the inverse to help us work out if our answers are correct. We've also looked at solving some word problems using addition and subtraction.
In topic, we've been learning about the layers of the ocean and what sort of marine animals live at each layer due to sunlight levels and water pressure. We've looked at the deepest part of the ocean, the Mariana Trench, and how Challenger Deep is the deepest part of the Mariana Trench - we tracked a submarine's journey to the bottom of Challenger Deep and realised just how deep our oceans really are!
