Another busy week in Class 2! This week we have been busy learning about powerful verbs and adjectives, ready to write descriptive pieces about earthquakes and their effects. We have been learning about the different language associated with earthquakes such as epi-centre, aftershock and magnitude; some of these have been tricky and we have worked really hard!
In maths we have been rounding to 10, 100 and 1000. This will be the end of our place value work and we will be moving onto addition; written and mental methods, next week.
Some of our girls will be coming home with letters for the girl's football tournament on October 7th; if you consent to your child attending this event please return the form ASAP as we have a reserve list. If you child did not get selected for this event, please rest assured there are lots of other sporting events we will be attending this year and they will be selected first for these events.
