A very warm welcome to The Priors Nursery.

Situated in the heart of the conservation village of Priors Marston, with beautiful rural surroundings, excellent indoor and outdoor facilities and the use of an adventure playground, games area and playing fields, the Nursery provides a safe, caring and stimulating environment for children from the term in which they turn three until they enter a Reception Class.

Rated 'GOOD' in all categories by Ofsted in February 2017.

Established in 1997, the Nursery shares the same site as The Priors School and typically has 15-20 children enrolled. Experienced and qualified staff  provide a happy, caring and stimulating environment, where children can learn and experiment through play.

Recently inspected by Ofsted as part of the Early Years Foundation, we were rated 'GOOD' in all 3 inspection categories (February 2017) the summary report confirms:

  • Teaching is very good and all children make very good progress
  • Children are safe in the Nursery
  • Children develop their own learning styles and creativity
  • Children’s behaviour is excellent
  • Leadership and management is strong, which leads to very effective systems for monitoring and self evaluation. This means there is constant improvement in the high quality provision

The Priors Nursery provides care for children between the hours of 9am and 3pm during normal term time for The Priors School. Priority for admission is given to children living in Priors Marston and Hardwick, siblings of existing Nursery children and to siblings of children attending The Priors School but we warmly welcome children from further afield.

In addition to the Warwickshire County Council Free Entitlement (Nursery Education Funding) hours for Nursery provision, additional sessions over and above the 15 funded hours per week may be booked directly with us.

The current charge for additional sessions is £5.50 per hour for a minimum session of 3hrs (9am–12pm and/or 12pm–3pm Monday to Friday during school terms).

An additional hour may be booked for a supervised lunch between 12pm and 1pm, when a nutritional, hot meal is available every day for an additional charge of £2.80 per day or parents may wish to provide their child with a suitable packed lunch.

Charges for additional sessions are reviewed annually in September. As a registered Charity, we can offer fee concessions to families in receipt of income related state benefits.

Nursery education is the vital start to a child's whole learning journey. We combine professional delivery with a sensitive attitude so that each child enjoys and benefits from their time in the nursery and progresses smoothly into primary education.
