We are here!

We had a slightly eventful journey as Mr Emms forgot his laptop cable, so Mrs Clarke had to drive it up to us at Princethorpe... but the less said about that the better!

We have settled into our rooms and been sorted into our activity groups. We will begin our first activities at 2pm and we cannot wait!

We will give you a bigger update later on today.

The Rolling Cheeses

The most important part of being at Whitemoor Lakes is naming your group and my group decided upon The Rolling Cheeses. How this even became an option is beyond me - but The Rolling Cheeses it is!

Our activites today were The Gladiator challenge and Zip Wiring. It incredible seeing the children push themselves physically and mentally to achieve amazing results. All of the children managed to get to the top of the Gladiator challenge!

Zip Wiring was great fun and Johni even exclaimed "This is the best fun I've had!" We had a number of daredevils who went down no-handed and even upside down in the Spideman pose!

What a great first day for this group!

The Raspberry Ripple Fabs

Another bizarre name for a group - but apparently there was a little bit of logic behind this one. They wanted a summer theme and couldn't decide between two ice creams so combined them together!

This group started with the Zip Wire... welcome to Whitemoor Lakes, now jump off a tall tower! Mrs Logan was very impressed with the children's resilience and ability to push themselves, even if they were a little scared about being so high!

This group excelled in The Gladiator challenge and flew up the obstacle course really quickly and reached the top. What a brilliant start to the residential visit from The Raspberry Ripple Fabs.

We finsihed our day with  a brilliant camp fire, where we could be loud and sing lots of songs.

It has been a wonderful first day, and Mrs Logan and I are so proud of the chidlren!
