Keep up to date with all the latest news happening in school at the moment.
We have received notification from Severn Trent that, due to essential work on the water mains, there may be disruption to our water supply on Tuesday 17th October between 9am & 11am. We have asked how this will impact on us and what mitigations they will be putting in place, however unfortunately they are not able to give us any guidance or support. As we legally have to provide flushing toilets, access to fresh drinking water and water for catering this puts us in a very tricky position.
We have decided we will keep the school open during this time, as there may not be any disruption. However, if the work does result in loss of water supply we will have no option but to close the school. Whilst we hope this will not be the case, we would recommend that you put contingencies in place for children to be collected at short notice if required.
We are very frustrated that we have been put in this position and hope that Severn Trent will get all the work done within those hours, and there will be no further disruption.
Following yesterday’s impressive, and slightly terrifying storm, we don’t have internet in the school. This means we have no phone lines and very limited access to emails. Please bear with us!
The Priors School is CLOSED today.
Due to the current snow situation badly affecting the roads in the area, we have no option but to close the school today. We have taken this decision to safeguard our children, parents and staff and prevent any unnecessary journeys in these hazardous conditions.
If your child was born between 1 September 2018 and 31 August 2019, then you have until 15 January 2023 to submit your application for their primary school place in Reception. There’s a range of useful information on the Warwickshire County Council website to help you apply, including a list of all local schools, a priority area map and a handy video to help you make realistic choices of schools. For these and guidance on how to apply, visit www.warwickshire.gov.uk/primaryplace
The school admissions team are also running to webinars for parents and carers of children who are due to start school next year. These are free to join and are a great opportunity to learn more about the process and what you can do to submit a successful application by the deadline. There’s two dates to choose from and everyone who books a place will receive a recording of the event. Book your place here:
Second Hand Uniform is now available through the PTA!
Please visit the PTA section of the website to see the uniform currently on offer.
A quick reminder that the closing date for secondary school applications is during our half term break.

We have now been informed that Monday 19th September is a bank holiday for the State Funeral of Her Majesty The Queen. We have received the following from the Department for Education:
The official date of the State Funeral is 19 September 2022. This day will be a bank holiday and settings that are normally closed on a bank holiday should close on this day as a mark of respect. This will include schools and colleges.
As a result, The Priors School will be closed for all children on Monday 19th September and will reopen on Tuesday 20th September.
